Humanities in the Schools awards grants for professional development opportunities for teachers of all grade levels.   These workshops and summer institutes, hosted and developed by cultural institutions, more closely integrate the humanities into the classroom environment.

The CHC is currently soliciting proposals for the 2006 granting year and we are especially interested in applications that strengthen the teaching, study and understanding of American history and culture under funding from the We the People initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
